13:00 5k.....OH WAIT
It was a great race by the top 5. We saw a lot of tough running out there.
I saw the whole thing and my only critique is the tendency for producers to show too much celebration and not the rest of the runners. In a team race like this it would much more dramatic to see the other runners come through,

11th. Pretty good!
Thanks to Salazar Kenyanizing Ritz. You have to be Kenyan to run with Kenyans. Means also you have to be black. With D. Ritz's performance, no American or non-Kenyan/thiopians should have excuse why they are not good... It is all in the mind. Great, impressive performance by Ritz...GO RITZ! GO RITZ!
good thread for those (me) who missed it.
Thanks.

also how many CHAN is there in the area? and den with Kit Chan, why was this chigga invited to race? i bet i could beat

Did he surpass Hall's time for the half?
Incorrect. It is still about genetics and distributions.
The depth of the kenyans and ethiopians will never be matched
by Caucasians, but there might be one or two who are competitive, i.e. a fluctuation. Ritz is such a fluctuation.
Great job!
Women's results?
1 second between 2nd and 6th place, that is tight for a 1/2 Marathon. Hey Ritz at least medals and wins $10K.
After being stuck in an elevator for an hour they should have given him 59:59.99

In the area of Hong Kong and Macau? Yes, lots of Chans there.
Each federation can send one entrant no matter that qualification standards.

They did, probably better than that but, as you know, IAAF rules stipulate that any fractions of a second are rounded up to the next full second in road racing. He could have run 59:59.01 and it would officially be 1:00:00.
Are you saying that Ritz can beat Hall in a marathon right now?
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
