Now this is a prediction thread.
Going out and saying who is going to win and getting it right when the odds were against him.
Much better than the 'Hall will not win' thread where the OP goes with the odds but never said who would actually win.

I'm a bit surprised to see Meb win a major marathon as he is 34 and has never done it before...still not a super fast time, but definitely respectable for that course.
What a turd comment. Jesus christ, who gives a shit about the time? It's who you beat on a course like New York and Meb rocked the shit out of guys with PRs in the 2:04-2:06 range.
What do you get for winning the NYC marathon?

I don't want to pile on here, but I agree with YO here. Meb out-'raced' everyone. NY is not a 2:06 type race. Never has been. When Ramalla and others got excited going down First Ave, Meb kept in touch without expending too much. He ran smart. And this is where his credentials, experience and past accomplishments played a part. Meb is a seasoned racer. If he is fit, he can bring the goods when it counts; ie. Silver medal and past podium finishes at NY.

1) I didn't say or even imply that he didn't race well.
2) I didn't say or even imply that he should have run faster.
3) I gave props to the guy for winning when I didn't think he would or could. Not sure what more you guys want.

Flagpole...I don't want anything from you. My post simply started by agreeing with YO that your comment "...still not a super fast time" was a turd comment.
The rest of my post was about how well Meb raced and has nothing to do with you.
