Just go to any of your local all-black schools.[/quote]Ha ha! That's rich. Our two all-black local schools have records of 4:15.3 (full mile, on cinders) and 4:18.1. The other blackest school, which closed 18 years ago, had a school record of 4:11.32. A local all-white suburban school, who just beat Zach Wills' Mason team, can't touch the 4:15 or 4:11 (yet).
My HS was the 4:11.32. Where I work is 4:20.x (I don't coach them).
Vermont--it was about 4:21 when I was in high school ('76-'80)...don't know what it is now.

What school is that? I didn't know anyone had run between Stroup's 4:08 and Centro's 4:02ish record from a couple years ago.
