Didn't read through the thread, but just thought I'd share my own experience.
I've been injured quite a bit. After analyzing almost everything I could think of, I realized I wasn't eating much protein when I got injured. The year I ran in college I had access to free protein drinks. I would drink two a day. That alone is ~50g of protein. I also had no serious injuries that year. I've been making a point to eat more protein the past several months and have not had any injury problems, despite running more than I was last year when I had a string of injury problems.
Your diet is okay, and it certainly will cause you to lose weight, but it's far from ideal. Lean chicken breast is one of the healthiest things you can eat, and 96/4 beef is pretty good too. Just try to cut out as much sugar and unhealthy fats as you can. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies. Don't cut the meat.
