Ventolin, I actually agree with most of what you post. But let's take a look at the 3000. 10th place was 7:35. Look at winner Joseph Kiplimo. He ran 7:31. I know he's young, but his pb set this year was 13:09. That 3000 was not slow. I'm guessing that about 10 of the top 30 times for the year at 3000 occurred in Rieti. This is not an uneducated guess, and this tells me, whether it is a fast track or whatever, those were not adverse conditions these athletes experienced.
