I was wondering the same thing? The baton exchanges seemed to be every 200M but they did not seem particularly fast.

OK, checked the schedule. Never heard of an "American Relay."
LC Zurich narrowly holds off Switzerland
The so-called 'American' relay, a 3000m race involving three-person teams in which each runner runs multiple times and with non-common handoff points, turned into an intra-Swiss battle, won by the local Zurich team in 6:22.50 as the highly partisan audience cheered raucously over the final stages of the race.
Right behind the 'local matadors' was a pan-Swiss team (6:22.71) which narrowly held off the German trio (6:22.95)
haha thanks runtherockies.
Kind of a wild event; not sure where they got the name American Relay though. I wouldn't mind seeing more of those. It appeared that the crowd enjoyed it.
Is there a video not blocked by regions?

thank you!
Thank you! Great stuff
wasn't that the same bonehead who said the former Collegiate womens 1500 record was like 4:06 and said Baringers 3:59 "was close to breaking the record"...
f***ing morons... you're american and announcing track... just have a cheat sheet... okay 5k... AR 12:58... Ritz crossed in 12:56... then what have we learned?
It's even worse than that. The live Universal Sports video coverage had British commentary. Now that version has been edited with the embarrassingly inept "Carol, Dwight and Friends" comedy laid over the top. They probably knew the outcome before the race even started, and still couldn't get the story straight !
Fastforward to 1hr 41:40 to watch the 5K.
