Has anyone noticed improved performance, reduced bodyfat, anything really due to doing their long runs without having eaten first? I was just reading something the other day about not eating before the long run and only having water during will help the body learn to metabolize fat instead of glycogen. It also said that you'd probably feel like crap by the end of the run but that the benefits were worthwhile.
Anyone have experience with this?
