I haven't run in a real race since May '08. I've been injured off and on since and never had enough training to feel comfortable racing. I've now been running consistently since June, but I'm still in pretty poor shape. I'm thinking about jumping in a few races just to see where I'm at and to get a feel for racing again, but I hate racing when I'm not in shape.
Should I race some or just focus on training and getting back into shape?
