Were those full miles?
yes give or take 10 meters
Why would you do that workout? Are you going to take 4 minutes rest between each mile in the race? Seems dumb to take breaks when you won't be able to in competition.
I guess you're right doing intervals is retarded...
about 16 minutes.

Yeah, screw interval training.
I'd say 16:35.
Also, I think 4 minute's rest is too long. I would do a 400 meter recovery lap inbetween instead (jog it; should take about 2:10-2:30)
according to your last mile it would appear that you should have either; 1 taken less rest, or 2 run each one faster. having said that i would predict that you can definately run under 17:00 minutes.
Will it be a full 5k?
Assuming that workout was pretty hard, but not all out, I'd say around 16:20.
Was the last one all out? If so, I would say 16:20.
The recovery is too long to use as a predictor session.
Next time do the session but with 90 seconds recovery - just do 4, the average mile time will be you 5km race pace.
This was the first workout of the season, i did the last mile at around 90%, not all out

Dumb workout? Dumb comment. For his target race he's not doing anything unreasonable.
This is a fine workout. I'd take 2-3 minutes rest myself, but when I use mile repeats it's usually doing 6-8 x 1600, starting at half marathon pace and descending. 10k/HM training.
To the OP, 16:3x
I think if the 5k is a fairly flat course or on the track, you should be in the 15:40-15:55 range if you race well.
Well that's very good for a first workout. What's your pr's?
My mile pr is 4:05 and my 5k pr is 14:18.
I'm the OP, my Personal Records are: 4:35 for the 1600, 1:59 for the 800, and 10:19 for the 3200
