I want to build mileage for about 3 months (12 weeks) before beginning a marathon cycle.
What do you recommend for the long term success:
a) build my mpw to the average mpw prescribed by a training plan:
i.e. 70-70-70-70-70-70-70...= 70mpw avg
b) build my mpw to a higher mpw than prescribed by a training plan, then cut back mileage to begin training w/ quality miles:
i.e. 60-65-55-75-80-85-70...= 70mpw avg
