Not sure, but the weather in GA has been beautiful over the last few days, at least 15-20 degrees cooler than normal, with very low humidity, and I'm sure that helped some.

the track at marietta high school has hosted the Georgia Games for years and has also hosted several region and state championships over the years. I wouldn't have a concern in the validity of the measurement.
following Vessey is like a 6th grade crush - when it is good, it is really good, but the other half of the time you are yourself crushed and a bit confused.
Wright had run a lot faster than 2:04 or 2:05 before today.

Sopmething fishy with those Georgia Games results. How the hell do these girls face tough SEC and NCAA comp all year and run bests of @:04 and 2:05 (correct me if I'm wront) and all of a sudden after ALL that pop these HUGE pbs of 2:00 and 2:01 at basically a high school meet? I don't doubt they were timed in that, but let's get a measurement on that track!
wright ran 2:01 at usa's... price ran 2:01 last year in high school... wake the %^%k up!!!
Wright ran 2:01.17 at Nationals last month, and Price ran 2:01.66 as a high schooler in 2008.
Easy everyone. No need to jump on each other. All these USA ladies are great. These are exciting times in the womens 800m. Last year was ho-hum but now PR's and winning in Europe and the ups and downs waiting for those results...WOW!
This Ghent race was over a long time ago. It would be nice to know what happened.
So close!

I don't know how Phoebe Wright isn't the story of the day/week!
2.5 years ago her PR was 2:15. She has one more year of eligibility.
2:00.40 at a low key meet in Marietta, Georgia is incredible after her long season. Chanelle Price was 2nd with a PR of 2:01.33.

NO--it's top four are candidates. If Gall or Wright get the "A", then they go along with Clark. If neither one gets the "A" and Vessey does not, then only Clark and Gall (only one "B" can go) go. If neither Gall nor Wright get the "A" and Vessey does, Clark, Gall, and Vessey go. In other words--Clark and Gall are in no matter what; Wright is in only with an "A"; Vessey is in only if she gets the "A" and Wright does not. Whew!

Top 5.
where did you find the results
Wright is reportedly going to make another attempt on Saturday at a race in Virginia. However, I don't know where.
If Wright and Vessey both get the A, does Gall still go instead of Vessey?
