"not fear of the Africans!!!!!!!!"
until teg stops getting boxed in and has the courage to run up near the front (from the beginning) instead of running in the chase pack hoping to catch some guys that might fall off then your statement will be a 100% correct.
Look at the picture -
http://sportslion.net/track/2009/pict2009/09071810Heusden/Heusden090718100162.jpgThis is typical of many of Teg's races; he tries to put himself in good position to kick with the Africans; they likewise do the best that they can to get into good position (and/or box Teg in). Do you really think that they are going to a) let Teg run away from them b) let him kick without going through traffic, there is one of him and always at least 4-5 of them c) let Teg easily beat many of the best in the world
It is real easy to set at your computer or TV screen and say, why doesn't he just take the lead with 1000 to go and run away from them; or why doesn't he just run in the 2nd lane on the last lap??? Has anyone not noticed how close all of these races are? He missed a WC medal in '07 by .03 and he took 2nd in Heusden (beating 2-3 sub 13 guys) by probably less than that (have not seen the photo or the exact to the .001 time)
