not very impressive.
not very impressive.
Yeah considering he had a crappy start and it was raining and with a headwind.
you would have to see it to believe it.horrible start, pouring rain and no one to push him after 40m
unbeatable unless he gets injured.
Top End looked weak. Couldn't really keep the hammer down once he pulled away.
He is definitely beatable.
maybe he just wanted to get the win !!!
Wariner couldn't even break 45 when winning the 400m - conditions are terrible.
Are you people idiots. The OP must not be an athlete.
I despise people that expect a sub 9.7 performance out of Bolt everytime.
So the rain had no effect on his time.
You realize if you had ran a 9.79 a couple of years ago it would of been buzzed about forever.
I hate that people are taking Bolt for granted and expect him to run world record times everytime he races.
Respect the fact that he is running times in not so good conditions comparable to other sprinters in perfect conditions.
You know what I have to say this. Stop being an idiot and taking Bolts greatness for granted
I agree but i don't think warriner looks good at the moment.
gotta love the haters!
it's a great time in those conditions, and a horrendous start.
If some people think someone other then Bolt will win 100 and 200 in Berlin they're in for a surprise. This boy is still playing. Where TG is running all races all out, Bolt is just rounding himself in form.
No challenge in Berlin, from anyone.
Good to see though that battle for silver is gettin' hotter with Bailey and Blake putting up a nice fight!

But Sanya ran 49.34, so the conditions varied considerably.
I would say Bolt is good for a 9.70 this year, and Gay is just behind him, 9.71-9.72.
If Gay gets the right start in Berlin, Bolt won't catch him.
cant wait to bring this comment back up in a month.

there looked to be a decent amount of strain on bolt's face, actually.
I think that you're calling it right, Capricorn. Gay will need an uncharacteristically good start, but if he gets it, Bolt will be hard pressed to catch him.
200 will be different story. Bolt can't be beaten in this event.
i don't think the conditions were enough to have any significant effect. c'mon, 2 other guys PR-ed in the race. when it comes to sprints, i say it's more in the athlete's head.

Sanya broke 50 and Willard broke 1:59. No excuses for Wariner. It wasn't that terrible.

Tyson Gay has the number one time from a bad start, and has the fastest time ever ran, please stop this madness about Usain Bolt being better than Tyson Gay, if you had been in Rome and seen him run, you wouldnt be making such foolish statements. Tyson Gay on his best day with his best race is the greatest... check the times.
You must be a troll when you said check their times!
A 19.59 into a headwind in rainy conditions to a 19.58 with wind help in perfect conditions.
Lets see who has the world records. Bolt
Who is the king of sprints. Bolt unless he gets dethroned in Berlin that is the only time when you can say Gay is better which is minimum. Until we see a head to head Bolt is greater til then.
Check their times! Hahaha. you sir need to check your hands before they type
Who has the fastest time in recorded history... Tyson Gay... Who is the reigning World Champion... Tyson Gay... who has the faster times this season... Tyson Gay... 9.77 in Rome... a week earlier than 9.79 in Paris, after Bolt promised something magical...
PS We're talking about the 100m, not the 200m right now... although still Gay ran a faster time eariler this season... Bolt could not come out and better it... Until somebody beats him Tyson Gay is the man to beat... He is the World Champ (hence he got the auto qualifiers for World Championships) and the World Leader
