Wow you must really be busy if you can't spare 10 minutes to watch an interview of a well known pro in your own sport.

ah yes, the old letsrun tradition...whenever wejo or rojo makes an appearance on the boards, no matter how small or insignificant the matter, you can always count on a parade of idiots tripping over themselves to see who can criticize/insult them first congratulations idiot number 2personally i dont want to watch a whole video interview if all i want is a one line explanation as to why she didnt compete (make it one word in some cases)

this one is my favorite!
i mean i was gonna say bernard lagat...i mean after being a double world champ to not even going this year is a bit crazy but i agree with this guy...Ralph Nader...WHERE ARE YOU?!
Instead of making me watch the interview, wouldn't it be easier to summarize it one or two sentences adn then say "full interview here:"
There is a reason we dno't do a lot of video interviews. They take too much time to watch.
I think the real reason you don't do many video's is that this site can get really judgmental and negative and the athletes and coaches don't want to participate with you guys. You guys have more to say behind a computer than you do on camera. You made Carol Lewis seem exciting which is no easy task.

In chimes idiot number 3 for the bronze
THEY ARE RACING IN THE PEACHTREE ROADRACE.
Josh Mcdougal!! Where the hell is he?!?
I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or not in your comment about Bernard Lagat, but in case you weren't, Lagat gets a free pass to the World Championships by virtue of his being the defending World Champion in the 1500m and 5000m. So he did not need to compete in either of those events at the USATF Championships. However, he did still compete in the first round of the 800m in order to get a little speed work.
ran a 14:29 for 5k in a track race in toronto 3 weeks ago, his first race in a long time. he did not have qualifier for USA.
i meant to write josh mcdougal 14:29 for 5k 3 weeks ago.
Alicia Shay?
There is a tremendous build up to the Olympics each year and it is not uncommon to use the following year to 'regroup', finish school, have a baby, heal, etc.; you will see a lot of these guys back in action later in the year or next year. For a pro runner, about 18 months before an Olympics games, everything is narrowly focused on that one goal and after the games, there tends to be a lot of unfinished business in other areas of your life. Also, for a lot of athletes, it is all about making the WC team, they have had their USATF national experience and if they don't think they can get top 3, they would rather skip it. This is probably what you saw with guys like Monique, Francis Santin, Anwar Moore, Tiffany McWilliams, Shay, Goucher, McDougal, Carlson; they are all probably in good shape, but didn’t think their chances were good to make the team. You will probably see all of these guys later in the year.
What about Brie Felnagle from UNC? Haven't heard anything about her in a while.
I saw Rock split low-46 or maybe high-45 on an unattached 4x400m relay at the U of Minnesota's snowshoe invite indoors. I hear he's been injured again lately, though.
Renee Gunning (Skelly)
Remember when she did 54:28 in the Broad Street ten miler
in 2007?

Saw McWilliams at a 10k in Mississippi a while back - think she ran 37 something. Think she did several of those over the spring.
Yeah that was a (NOT) smart move for Tiffany to leave school 2 years early to turn pro. What has she made in winnings thus far, the past 3 years; about a buck ninty five?
why oh why oh why? wrote:

She probably made $80,000 a year or more while she finished her degree at MSU before reductions and the eventual cut took place. And actually was the right move, given that had she stayed in college she would have ended up running just as poorly and without those years of cashing adidas' checks.

Rojo, I'm a huge fan of yours, but this has to be the dumbest reply to a post I have ever seen you do. You mention Fleshman as one of the runners missing and someone gives you a link to an interview with her explaining what she has been doing. Instead of saying thank you, you insult the helpful guy and then you basically in a not so obvious way attack another running website. You do yourself and this website a disservice being negative that way. The least you could have done was not even reply in the first place.
Chapman, those two didn't just attack Rojo just to get in cheap shots. They actually had legitimate reasons to point out the ignorance of Rojo's post.
Let's just drop all interviews. Apparently nobody watches them because they are just a waist of time. Get rid of all videos on this site and just tell us what happened. Why even watch races when you can just look at the results afterwords. Allow only twenty posts max for each thread, or it may take some longer than a few minutes to read. Rojo, I'm still a fan of yours, but your post was just dumb. Chapman, take off the knee pads.
Rojo epitomizes lazy. Haven't you ever read the completely unresearched horseshit he posts in the little recap thing? He's become pompous to the extreme.

I like most of the stuff he posts. But the reply he gave was definitely pompous.
