Does this really suprise anyone? She's been displaying tremendous kicks all season...at big tens, NCAAs.
What are the top three (or, rather, second through fifth-place) finishers' season bests? The A standard is 15:10, and the B is 15:25. You get up to three competitors as long as all but one have run the A during the qualifying window and the other has run the B.
So now she's run 15:33. What does she need to run to go to worlds?
The B standard is 15:25.00, does that mean that she has to run this since she finished 3rd at nats? Or does she need the A standard (15:10.00)?
Two have to have the A standard in order for a 3rd with a B standard to go.

And Rowbury/Barringer both have the A... so two other Americans.

When I spoke to Angela after the race, she was completely stunned by her accomplishment. She hadn't given any thought at all to running the world championships; it simply wasn't on her radar. She's going to conference with her coach and decide what to do. I wouldn't blame her if she decided to shut it down at this point and not chase the "B" standard, which is all she needs to make the team at this point.

Here are some interesting bits from the rules:
"You must be over the age of 13 to participate."
Sounds like it can be PG-13 without a problem. But still with the censorship. Not that it matters, because the pics were G and the comments on them were not more than PG.
"The boards are mostly un-moderated."
This is at the end of Rule 3, and it appears to be a lie.
