Lets give Tim some credit, his accomplishment has for the most part gone unrecognized. Congrats tim, we know you have worked very hard and absolutely earned it. Run well at WC.

Culpepper. -
Did he at least win his age group?

you guys are so rude. I hope when you guys run your lousy 4:27 1500s and win at your high school meet in a new PR that no one gives a damn about what you did.
-
He's had a hell of a season and has stepped up past a bunch of more acclaimed names this year, like Rohatinsky, Torres, Abdi and so on. Great job, Tim.
-
hell of a race last night. came out of basically nowhere this year. more so than teg and solinsky this guy shows the true genius of shumacker's(sp?) training. not gonna lie, i was rooting for carney to get the third spot but nelson ran gutsy. congrats!

Great to see Tim doing well.
His NCAA career was a lot better than people seem to give him credit for. I'm pretty sure he had top ten finishes in all four NCAA 10K's and two top 20 NCAA XC finishes. Never red-shirted and was at Wisconsin the same four years as Solinsky, who cast a pretty big shadow. -
No one gives a damn about my running. It is great. This way no one bad mouths me on letsrun.
But, his performance at Stanford was good. -
He's really stepped it up another notch this year, in most part because he's been completely healthy. There's a video interview with him posted on Run the Roads after last night's race.

Agreed. Even in HS Tim was always in someone's shadow. At Wisco, he was behind Bairu as a 10k guy, behind Solinsky who was the overall star, and "what if's" like Withrow for attention.
28:04 school record at Wisco, solid NCAA performances and now great improvement and results as a pro. Good to see him succeeding! -
I remember one race feeling crummy and having to outkick Nelson some time ago and thinking....."damn, i'm reduced to outkicking Nelson".............now that he's killing it, i don't feel half bad at all, way to go Tim, really proud of you and go Badgers.

I remember watching Tim hold off Kyle Alcorn to win the CA state 3200 championship in '03. That was a great race. Good job on the continued improvement, Tim.
-
Great Job Tim. You achieved more in the 10k than Galen Rupp while getting paid less than a 1/10th of his salary...just not right.
Nike, please wake up and pay this man what he deserves..please. -

I saw that race too, awesome (even if Kyle is from my area). Tim and his parents are a class bunch and I hope him continued success!!!! -

I guess I can't speak for the mother but his father was a raging racist. I sat next to him at the trials and all he did was talk crap about other coaches, athletes, and (specifically) black sprinters. It was amazingly awkward, mostly because Tim was sitting next to him.
For Tim's sake, I hope that man was an impostor. -
