It's amazing how even when Wanjiru apparently backs out of Berlin, with Geb already in the race, that Wanjiru still isn't ducking Geb. That's a neat trick.
I also find it surprising how rare it is for anyone on this message board to value WR's more than winning championships. It's obvious that Geb loves to set WR's, and usually the the championship marathons don't present good opportunities for this, so I'm never surprised to see him skip a championship. I can appreciate a gold medalist, but when you set a WR, it seems much more significant to me. I can't remember who won golds around the time that Khannouchi or Radcliffe set their records. It's funny how people use time trialist as a derogatory term, like it's easier to run a WR than win a race.
