I was wondering what people's opinions are on using quartazone to help injuries. I've been injured some time now and the idea of using quartazone has surfaced. I'm not sure whether it's a good idea or not so i wanted to know what people think. A lot of people seem to be against it and i'm not sure why. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.

just to clarify, i meant Cortizone. I don't know what my dumbass was spelling before.

doesnt a cortisone shot just numb the pain for a short time, allowing someone to compete on their injury? I guess the risk in that would be a more permanent injury later.

Cortisone is a steroid. It reduces inflammation and supresses the immune system. It can often be taken for short periods without much ill effect but it is a steroid and can be dangerous. Side effects can include:
-changes in appearance (rounding of the face, facial hair growth in women, and obesity)
-thinning of the skin, stretch marks, and much higher susceptibility to bruising
- changes in body minerals, especially potassium
- increased risk of certain types of infections, such as yeast or fungal infections and
-higher blood sugar
Don't look at it as some sort of cure for injuries. It does nothing of the sort. It just masks them. Better to let an injury heal than to mask it.
