Wow I messed up posting before, didn't answer all the questions. here is try number two:
1: 8k xc- consistent sub 27 performances; 5k track- sub 15:50, 1500 track- sub 4:10
2: Mostly just ease adjusting to increased mileage and some good training (relaxed and improving tempo work, normal run pace getting faster w/o extra effort, etc.) Mileage getting up into the 80-85 range for the rest of the summer, and I just ran a windy road 5k in 16:58, without much effort at any paces under 5:45. Not super fast, but faster than the same time last year and without as much intense work beforehand.
3: Right now...I think I could break 28 in the 8k on a good day more often than not, I think a track 5k with good conditions would have me around 16:40-5, and the 1500 would be REALLY ugly probably 4:23-4. But again, I'm in a purely base phase with very moderate threshold work once a week.
4: By the end of November for my 8k goal, until the middle of next may for the track goals...plennnnty of time
5: 8k personal best: 27:59; 5k personal best- 16:17; 1500 personal best- 4:19.4
I had a rough xc season last year as a college freshman, LOTS of stomach problems the entire year really hampered my progression. My 5k personal best was my first outdoor race and first track 5k ever, after being hurt indoors and still in buildup mode, but somehow I never ran faster in my other two attempts...the only 1500 I ran last year was a 4:20 in 35 mph wind, but I think I was in 4:12 shape in a perfect race. Just trying to get the most out of my ability and I'm pretty excited.
