This shoe is awful and this new technology will sink Nike.
Absolutely garbage desighned by non-runners. Same with the Lunar trainer.

you're an idiot. do you have any idea how well those shoes sell?
These shoes are crap and the cause of many injuries. Should be recalled. The Lunar trainer is complete junk as is this new glide. Just another gimmick from a jogging company.
LunarGlide is nothing like the Trainers nor Racers.
I think the design of the LunarGlide is a mess.
I really would have liked to see the same minimalist design as racers with added cushion.
I purchased the white/gray version online (no neon yellow or orange) and it is just boring ugly.
Also, I hate the heel cup. It doesn't seem to fit my heel properly.
I bet the majority of those injuries are due to incorrect running form. More injuries occur because people wear clunkers (like Brooks) that don't let their feet do what they were naturally meant to do. On a side note though, I do like the new Launch; it's about time Brooks did something lighter weight.

Brooks does a number of lighter shoes. Racer ST series, Racer T series, Launch, Axoim/Ravenna. Not all Brooks shoes are the Beast.
More injuries occur because they wear the wrong type of shoes. Some people need big heavy clunkers, some people need super light and flexible, most need somewhere inbetween. The Pro-running shoe crowd and the Pro-minimalist crowd are both right in some ways and wrong in others.
As to the Glide- it is an interesting shoe, extremely responsive, not as stable as some would claim it to be, and it is a serious running shoe. It is not a hobbyjogger shoe, there actually is some merit to it. Same deal with the Lunartrainer, it is not a BS shoe, they actually are great to run in.
The lunarglide 2 came out recently and has gained praise for being a solid shoe for moderate overpronators.
Here's a review on the technology in the shoe:
feels like a staight-lasted, motion control shoe on my foot. Not as well-cushioned (soft landing) as original lunars.
