I did a training run with Sonia O'Sullivan when she came to NYC to run the 2002 NYC marathon. I was helping with the NIKE RUN NYC stuff and they asked me and another guy to take her out on a training run in Central Park.

Does Mike Fout count? I mean he did win Foot Locker last year. I went to school about 45 min. from his school and I raced against him many times. Never came close to him. He was a nice guy until he got good, then he got kinda cocky.
alan webb hung out at my house in college...he borrowed my guster cd and has not returned it...bastard

Oh I have to mention Tom Raunig as well. I went to his running camp in high school, ran for him in college and then ran against him in several races. Very nice down to earth guy.
Fun answers.
You're younger than me. I ran against, and met some of those names. Almost broke Rono's foot at a crowded party once, stepped on it. Boy he shot me a look, but he was nice.
Great List!
Now we wonder who you are and what you do/did!
Ran with Luke Watson and Ryan Shay, very nice guys, extremely intense. Although Ryan tended to be somewhat of a loner when it came to training, doing his own thing a lot. He did some crazy plyos. Also, I was suprised to see that the two did their fair share of partying and could hold their own when it came to drinking. Overall, stand-up gentlemen. RIP Ryan.
Met Marion Jones, Michael Johnson, and El G at the Prefontaine Classic in either '01 or '02 (I forget). Marion was beastly, and we all know why now. Michael J seemed very aloof. El G was all smiles and was very nice. I don't know if he can even speak English. I took a picture with him but don't remember if I said anything to him. He was very small I remember.
Greg Whitely, when he was 11, Track City International Classic, Eugene, Oregon
a friend of mine ran with David Kimani for a year at Alabama and i hung out with him for a few hours once. he had destroyed the field at pre-nats earlier in the day and i think he just wanted to lounge around his hotel room and talk to his fiancee on the phone for the night, but my buddy convinced him to come out to dinner with us. he was very humble, funny, and overall just seemed like a really nice guy. this was when he was about at the peak of his legendary status, before injuries hampered much of the rest of his career, which was tragically cut short by his sudden death. it was a really cool experience, and it's a shame he had to go so soon.
Swapped vests with Getaneh Tessema
He ran in the world cross, now a coach and married to Geta Wami
The Halls, at Peachtree a couple of years ago.
He beat me by a lot.
Actually, so did she.

and as far as racing against, i got beat up on by Alan Webb and Rickey Harris some in high school, and by Tom Lancashire in college. Also faced a number of top guys (Willis, Brannen, Ellerton, Cragg, etc.) in relays.
Oh, and I met Rich Kenah once and pestered him by email afterward when i was in high school. He was kind enough to respond each time and not blow me off. A few years later I just missed being in his heat at a race at GMU... I think I might have even been wearing the ASICS Kenah's.

Since "Met" qualifies, you can be a former elite or non elite, and sight both runners you ran against, and runners you've coached. Male or female. Sprinters count!
GO FOR IT!
Oldsters or Youngsters...
Didn't think sprinters counted! Coached Ryan Grant from the Green Bay Packers, Michael Ray Garvin from Florida State and Dorien Bryant from Purdue.
