Obviously there are a few in that race that have to be upset at losing in such a slow race, but everyone has the same chance to run as fast or as slow as they want in the early portions. I wouldnt call it a joke as much as a tactiacal error.

Too bad you couldn't have been there to make it an honest race. Who cares if you had won or lost, you could have given it your all--and goshdarnit you would have been a winner even if you had gotten last! After all, what could be more important in a conference championship than a fast time?

Anyone have a link to live results? All I can find is the deltatiming site that has results from the past two days.

this happens every single year and the same, select few idiots are always provided with an opportunity to display their idiocy by complaining about tactical races

somewhat amusing but it gets old...give it a rest the best guy in the field won...mission accomplished

Shayne knoll ran 3:57 indoors...

craig miller got 2nd at ncaas and just ran 3:37...

as I recall Knoll did not make the final (despite a 3:57...)

"best" doesnt mean just being able to run fast times in fast races, but also being able to handle tactical situations...Craigs got both, Knoll cant seem to run well in a championship setting

On my watch, they were like 74 at the 400, and slower than the women at the 800 (the women were at 2:16).

Last 800 was 1:50 or a little under for Miller, Bolas, See. I didn't see where each of them were at the bell, but the clock split 2:07 with 800 left.

I saw 1:53 on the UW site, but if it was 1:49. that is getting towards (not there yet) world-class finishing speed.

Also, last week Miller said that his brother has been injured this spring.

I'd rather watch the MIAC 1500m. It's more exciting, and only about half a second slower.

I'm completely on board with the MIAC 1500 being more interesting.

The boring Big Ten has the guys who finished 3, 4, 5 at last year's NCAA 1500 final throwing hands in a tactical race and that's somehow got to compete with the always exciting MIAC 1500?

Looks like a knockout for the MIAC. It's not even a fair fight.
