Leo manzano Adidas Track Classic 2009 interview w/frotrack
You guys are still missing the point. Manzano just ran a freaking 3:57 for 1500!!!!!! Are you serious? That is embarrassing, bad day or not. Shouldn't have left Vig. Ponsonby...seriously, don't screw Leo up.
Nice early season run for Leer.
didn't he finish last in his heat by 15 seconds at the olympics?
or was that lomong
either way, they both finished DFL
That is what every runner says. How many times have you read in interviews that some runner is feeling in great shape, the best shape ever, extremely fit and just needs some races under their belt? Then they don't produce during the season. Then later on they go back and point out all the reasons they didn't do well. Sometimes running and racing is just a crap shoot. You can't tell what's going to happen until it happens.
So he should leave Cook to go back to Vig? Please. Leo is fit, there's no doubt about that. You can't count him out - he'll PR this year. But it is discouraging to see him flake out mentally and give up in his races. Yes, he was the one who finished 15 seconds back in China.
is 340 a good race for jager?
anyone know his previous pr?

3:41. He could be a great 5000m runner by 2012.
someone stepped off after a lap with some type of shoe problem. it looked like he was gonna rejoin the race after taking off his spike...who was that? very odd.

According to post race interview on Flotrack, Manzano felt the pace was a bit too fast, he let people pass him and then he lost it mentally. He said his training is going very well, he feels super fit and he just needs to get some races under his belt.
he said he "freaked out"
pussied
once a pussy always a pussy
The meet was windy. Dibaba ran over 15:00. This meet is ready for the Chopping Block. The smart athletes will run Stasnford then train through to Pre
Lukezic lost a shoe, hence the dnf
That wasnt the same Dibaba, that was her sister. Her sister is good but no where near the caliber of the double gold medalist from 08
Maybe Webb is not racing until he is in sub 3:34 shape.
Manzano has always been a first or last kind of guy. Either he's in position to win, or he's totally off the back. He doesn't seem to care at all about his times, and never has.
It's laughable that everyone is now suggesting that Leo is not a top-tier runner. Manzano finished 2nd in the U.S. last year, and the year before that, behind only Lagat. Not only that, but the kid made the semi-finals in the Olympics...the OLYMPICS people.
Writing off Leo now, who has just started his new workout program under Cook, is a bad, bad call this early in the season.
It is still May. Everyone is still training their guts out, so writing people off now is just foolish.
Evan Jager, I didn't know he was a sub 4 miler (at 3:40 for 1500). I remember seeing him run the 2mile at NON with Craig Foryes (sp?) and Matt Certowitz (sp?). It looks like he's come a really long way
Where WAS Benny Rodriguez?? He and Manzano are the same height. I love me some Benny Rodriguez! Go Tamuk!

It looks as if Webb is a no show again.
Does he even care about running amymore?
Who is this Amy More and why would Webb want to race against a chick?
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
