seems to me like this might be the break through that Boaz Chebaiywo has been yearning for. By the way what happened to Abdi?
-
I think I overtook him at just shy of 3 miles - he was jogging.
-
What do you mean, you "overtook him?"

And Paul 'Crazy-Legs' Thompson won the Old Fellas' Race. He must be early 60 now. Nice work.

well, paul thompson ran 32:05, and abdi ran 29:02. -
I think Paul mistook Demesse Tefera for Abdi. Tefera, who's been third in this race before, went out hard and then bagged the race and jogged in. I passed him, too--he was doing about 7:00 pace with Mohammed Awol, another sub-2:20 marathoner. I have no idea why they bothered to finish, but Paul probably blew by them at about mile 4.(Paul is 43 and averaged 5:12 per mile.) Tefera would look a bit like Abdi from the back--elite African guy with a shaved head and a low, near-shuffling style.

Actually it's 139 and I'm a Mensa member, but that's not the point.
PT didn't pass Abdi. He misspoke. -
A case of 'pride before the fall' I guess. I did not have the online results when I did this posting.
-
PS It was a mistake plain and simple. I'm not a politician.

Thanks, Paul. Great race.
-
Great run for Boaz. He ran extremely well.
-
Who is Harun Lagat. Is he in college in USA or what? haven't heard of him in european circuits.
-
That's a stunning run for Tola. Wow.

Stephen Chemlany has put together a pretty solid spring. Fifth and first American based runner in 28:41, after already running a 2:16 marathon, 1:02 half and 46:0x ten miler this spring. Who would of picked Chemlany to become the best of the Iona grads?
