So, I've noticed this correlation between my day-before running type and how I feel on race day. It seems when my day-before running is only recovery pace, say 8 min/miles plus strides, I feel like crap on race day. However, if I run half of my run at recovery pace and the next half at a regular easy pace 7/min miles, I feel alot better. Does anyone think this might be an actually cause-effect relationship or just a random correlation?
