"stop the avsurdity" -- So your going to warrant behavior based on something that happened over 25 years ago? Just as well, what makes his actions acceptable? What, because he was representing a country rather then a college? Yea it looks cool, but again, answer this, how would you feel if you were that guy that was looking at your opponent beating you and pumping his fists with ease? My guess is you'd feel like a fool, and if you suggest otherwise I highly doubt your telling the truth. Why? Because it's humiliating and disrespectful.
I still don't see how some of you are warranting his actions? Who cares whether or not our sport is popular, I assure you we have plenty of people supporting us, thus it's still a socially acceptable sport and participated in by many young and old folks! Grow up, let the race speak for itself... I'm not blind, I know you won, and so did his opponents, so why not give a shout of enjoyment, shake some hands and then celebrate in any manner you feel is necessary after you step off the track?
