There are these things called condoms that make me assume that maybe, just maybe, Adam's baton gets plenty of action.

geez people...so they decided to put off having a kid for a 6 months. bfd. it's not like they are at the end of their reproductive lives.
This is a huge blow to NY marathon. Chicago has already signed Deena and Kara was planning on running NY. Now with no Kara, New York will not have any American female presence. No one is really interested in Magdalena or Mcgregor. Also losing Paula to the WC will be a blow to the international field as well.
No, it's not. She was already off the market for the fall marathons.
kind of lame though being married and still having to wear a condom, but yeah i see your point.
but anyway after August 23rd its free game for those two. Kara should have a good run w/ all of the motivation, determination, and frustration from Boston
Um, they could be using other types of birth control. So you think that once you're married you'll just be having kids every 9 months because it would be lame to be using a condom while married? Hope you love kids as much as you do unprotected sex.
Maybe Kara vs. Shalane in the 10,000!
I can't believe I'm actually commenting on this, but for all you middle schoolers out there, there are actually *several* rather effective methods of birth control besides condoms one might use if one is in a monogamous relationship. But remember, kids, only barrier methods protect against STDs.

So with galen and kara likely going, what's adam shooting for?
Adam will be shooting for Kara's uterus. Obviously.
Is the pill legal? Can't be, right? Can it slow you down?
They can always use the old fashioned method of birth control.
When in doubt, pull out. Effectively preventing accidents since the beginning of time.
I had about 12 girlfriends and had sex, you know...a bunch of times, and only ever even used a condom twice, and both times it was a joke. I think in most monogamous relationships "condoms" are not the chosen form of birth control, but heck, I'm old now and out of the loop, so what do I know?

lol mate, here's to you! YOu beat me to it! Lovin the post!
For the record: Break a leg Kara, I'd love for you to win it, but as a German I have to say "Go, Irina!"
Withdrawal, when used consistently and correctly, is 96% effective. Compare that to condoms at a 98% consistent and correct use rate.
The thing is most guys can't pull out cause it feels sooo good.
I thought they were gonna have a baby. Glory first I guess.

It's relatively common for people to do the WC and then New York. Ndereba and Radcliffe, among prominent others, both did it after winning the last two WC. Who says Kara is off the market because of this? She's the one who wanted to do London a week after Boston.

Perhaps she realised that there are more important things than populating the earth.
Who Cares??
A.) Kara ran a SLOW time and still couldn't win Boston.
B.) The Marathon sucks.
C.) If she would pose for Playboy I might be interested.
Who else is on the women's WC team?

Hm... I'd like to doubt Paula will be in the shape of a few years ago, when she ran the WR. Yes, she will be a force in the race, but I think that a Mikitenko, Shobhukova or a Shibui are well in for a gold medal as well.
At the WC, she will win .... the prize for the prettiest runner. That's about it. No chance to win or podium.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
