She certainly doesn't look anorexic by any stretch (which i don't think you were implying). To the contrary, she looks healthy and fit and at an appropriate weight. As the one poster said, looks like she's taking her running and nutrition more seriously.
She just dropped a 4:47 anchor on her DMR Relay at loucks tonight. Came from 4th place to ist for the win 11:49
Connecticut has a 3k steeple and 2k steeple state championship at the end of the year after State Open. Maybe even after New Englands, can't recall exactly.
Not familiar with the 2k event in terms of context.
Does this 2k performance translate to a 10:15 type 3k performance?
Article today in the USA Today Paper. Hope she continues to do well at Providence in the fall.

Is this split accurate? Greany has so much more talent and speed than any of the past hs steeple record holders. This is exactly what the steeple needs. I think she'll set a record at non that will stick for many years to come.
4:48 1600 today to win Loucks Games by abut 5 seconds i believe.
And a 2:12 800m anchor for her 4x8 at Loucks
he coached john trautman to national 3000m record back in 1986 8:05
Not really. Shelby is talented for sure, but Mel Lawrence was a 4:4x miler and had 2:12 (at least) 800 speed. Plus 10:15-ish 3200, but only steepled a couple times a year.
When did Marie Lawrence run 4:4X for a mile in hs? I agree she's got a ton of talent but I always thought she lacked the foot speed that so many of the other star hs milers have shown. She seem to be a lot better over the longer distances but I'm sure about the 10:15 3200 either. Was that at NON?
4:4 at 2005 golden west. a little slower than i thought in the 3200 (10:20 at 2006 golden west), but still pretty good. these are her best times (i think), but has several marks in both events that are in that range.
meant 4:46 at golden west
