If any one can help or has had experiences like this please let me know:
As of lately, like the last couple years in college, I don't nervous being on the line in a race, not even excited really. However, during college I've either been extremely over trained or injured. In high school and even freshman year in college I was the most competitive person out there. Couldn't lose at anything, now I don't get pumped up for racing anymore. I still love and read/think about running all day and want to run/train competitively after college, but something has changed in me competitively. I've heard that people who might be burned out or who have done serious high mileage for a few years have lower testosterone levels. Could this be a reason? Will adequate rest help to restore my levels and desire? I know the fire is there (I'm not feeling sorry for myself or anything) just looking for a possible physiological reason for this. Thanks
