The main ethos behind Frank Horwills training was this is the session TRY to do it.
If the session proved to hard then they were adjusted ,you must however understand that if the session was 4 x 1600 @ your 3 or 5 k pace with a 45 sec rest run at say 4.30 pace if the athlete did 4.35 then he would change the session to 4.35 but the rest would stay at 45 secs.
I will say it again yes the sessions are hard as a training theory maybee to hard but the main thing was you have to TRY.
I gave them everything i had and did not get as much as i could have for all the effort,but i gave it a go.
PS Not many top coaches would bother to correspond with a 34 min 10k man for nothing in return .Mr horwill has written to me many times and offered advise a decent man as far as i am concerned and not in the least bit mad.
