ny games, did you mean NYState since you only listed NYers?
Vince Draddy, Iona Prep '79 3:44 and 4:O5 in HS
Byrne
Cartier
Jim Arriola of Gahr in Cerritos CA. 4.08.8 as a 15 year old Sophomore in 1974. I believe this is still the mile record for age 15.
Jim beat Eric Hulst who ran 4.09.1 in the same race, also as a Sophomore.
Some more: Mark Schilling 4:05.4 and Terry Cotton 4:05.5 at the 1972 Cal State meet. Andy Clifford:4:06.7 behind Kimball;s 4:06.6 at the 1974 Cal State Meet. Last lap 55.7 for Clifford.
Rudy Chapa, Hammond High, Indiana 1976
Randy Smith; Wichita East high-4:09 solo effort-1971 Kansas Relays
Thom Hunt, 4;02 indoors on a 10 or 11 laps to the mile track.
I'll make it easy for you.

I'm assuming you're trolling, but hey what the hell. Louie Senior ran in the 1970's at Righetti if I remember correctly and was primarily a 2 miler. He had the misfortune of being in the same league with a powerhouse high school. Junior ran in the 1990's at Arroyo Grande and ran some fast times and won title or two in his high school career and coaches at ASU. He definately wasn't around in the 1970's except possibly as a zygote. Oh yeah, Senior coaches at Hancock JC in Santa Maria. Both Senior and Junior are good coaches and all around good guys, but they're not one and the same.

How did Malmo's list make it easy? He only asked for 1970s milers
