So amazing and 💪🽠strong
I just saw a 330lb hs kid run a 7:50 mile on a 160m indoor track. It was pretty cool.
My buddy is 320 Pounds. He ran an annual 10k in 1:20, which works out to almost 13 minute miles. His goal is to break an hour this year, which would be 9:40. Though, he might be like 280 now (and I don't think he's anywhere close to being able to break an hour)
I am currently 305.2 lbs and 6'3, I run two miles in just over 18 mins. I do run 4-5 times a week tho so its not like i just got off the couch to do it. I have also dropped 35 lbs since starting.
Just today, 8.31.17 @ 12:02pm, 2 miles in 18:23
Well im 6'3 308lbs and i ran/walked my mile today in 11:54 and thats after training for 2 months... i suspect in another month when im 300 even ill be able to get it down to 10:54 my fastest mile when i was an athletic basketball playing teenager 20 years ago! was about 5:50 and thats if i was busting my ass i was about 6'1 185 lbs back then lanky as a madre fu
I am a 302 lb 41 yo male. I just got done running 1 mile. It took 12 min 10 seconds. I am working on getting fit but im not there yet. I weighed 370 in janurary and have been stuck at 300 for 3 months of that. The speed of the tredmill was 5.1 and i could have done it faster but didnt want to have the heart go too fast
Yep. I am a former runner with a pb 4:16 mile. And now 220lb lifter. Last year I ran the mule in 9 minutes with limited cardio. However, I will say at 300lbs that is tough. I say 16 min at best.
How fast could Zion Williamson run a mile? He is listed at 285 and looks quite spry.
Steve Tursi has run a 5k in under 25 min at about 300 lbs. He's also run 100 miles in under 24 hours at that weight.

I ran a 22:47 5k at 255 lbs (15 years ago). I did run when I was over 300 lbs, but never raced at that weight and doubt I could've gotten under 30 minutes for 5k.
Some of us fatties run well, but not me. I did 5 miles in 62:37 at 290 lbs. & 52 years old, my last running event. I can still walk 70 miles in a day (a horrible “ultra” has-been). Knew a 325- pounder once, huge belly & not young, did 50 miles in a hot & humid event in about 17 hours. A lot depends on cardiac strength & circulation (I take fish oil as a blood thinner).
There used to be a “Clydesdale” records website with shockingly fast examples.
6'2" 417.2lbs. 37 in October. Just ran a 13:05 mile with a 15lbs pack. @ 380--360lbs I was routinely turning out 11-12 min miles. @ around 320lbs in HS and 19 years ago, I was doing it in under 9 mins (8:30 on a good day). Fat people take a lot of flak -- always have and always will. I wouldn't be too confident that they can't run you down if they felt the need.
also ran a sub 9 mile at 300 a few years with ago. I'd guess the wr would be just under 7
For the quickest times I'd say the person needs to be:
- male
- as tall as possible
- as near to 300lbs as possible (i.e. 300.1lbs!), not much over.
- muscular build like rugby players rather than obese with lots of fat
- history of sports
- no other health issues.
Don't want to guess on time as I just don't know.
I think training for a mile or 5K is a way better idea than training for a marathon for anyone in this weight category.
I'm 6'2" 315 (age 40) currently and gunning for a sub-30 5k this weekend.
I think i can do a sub-9 mile.
I'm not super muscular btw
full send dude let's go
I did it in 10 minutes so ha
