I will be a sophomore in college this fall. The summer before my senior year in high school, I maxed at 80 MPW with two doubles, and last summer I got up to 85 all in singles. This winter I have done similar mileage to this past summer.
Is getting up to 105-110 MPW with doubles this upcoming summer too much of a jump? I figure I would be hitting 90 in singles, and I would do 5 mile morning runs 3 or 4 times a week.
I have learned that my body responds well to high mileage (Going from 60 MPW summer of junior year to 80 summer of senior year made for some huge improvements), so I am essentially trying to test just how much mileage my body can handle.
I am very non-injury prone (first ever real injury came this year, but that was because of switching shoes and that problem has been corrected), so my only fear of this much mileage is simply fatigue in my legs.
Is this substantial of a mileage increase reasonable?
