I think any new homepage would feel weird, especially the more you were used to old one.
I say within a week everyone will forget what the old one looked like and realize that this is a lot less cluttered.
I can deal with it as long as they don't f*** up the message board.
I don't really like it at all either, but it works just fine.
I like the one from 2000.
I thought they were going to update the message board into the 21st century. Smileys, embedded youtube, list of viewers for each thread, and sub-forums would be a great start.

Really, letsrun is the most pathetically organised and layed out website I use - and I use a lot.
BUT, I guess it is like football(soccer) - the worlds most popular game so no-one changes any of the rules. this is the worlds most popular discussion board on running, so nothing changes - it will always be poorly designed, poorly layed out and a pathetic website - but so long as the numbers/hits are here no one will be changing anything too drastically

It takes getting used too.
Any attempt to dress it up means less can be seen without scrolling down. I like all new content to be immediately seen.
But as long as I can find results I'll be happy. This is one person who sometimes visits the site WITHOUT going to the message board.
It is results and upcoming match-ups that interests me. Then if I'm bored I'll go to the board.

I don't mind it at all, the only thing that bothers me is everything looks new except the low res logo off to the left. If they re-brand a website they should re-brand the logo as well.
Not saying change it completely but it could certainly use some work, maybe get rid of the circle somehow and at least make it look like its not copied and pasted from a small jpg file
It doesn't look so good, but it loads faster and links load faster, too. (I am using an ancient browser)
