Do you pay attention to track and field at all? Jack Daniels doesn't know shit, if you are running 7:32 you should damn sure be running 13 or under. Just ask the IAAF scoring tables (much more accurate), a 7:32 is equivalant to a 12:55. Rupp and his 7:44 3k corresponds to a 13:17 5k (pretty much dead on), Fernandez's 7:47 3k corresponds to a 13:22 5k. His points from the 3k also predict a 3:55.73 mile, pretty damn close wouldn't you say? As I said, would you rather trust some random dude or a bunch of track statisticians who study results from past years to determine correlations between events?
