Tergat looks like he's sweating a lot more than his peers
People along the course are in jackets and streamers are blowing horizontal in the wind, so I am guessing not a warm day. Perhaps Tergat has a bug of sorts?
GTF, where are you watching from?
My living room.
Kidding, Colorado's Front Range.
Maybe, or maybe he was offered a lot of money to run and at this point in his career he didn't want to turn it down even though he isn't in great shape.

Yes, of course. I can think of two or three other marathon greats who are near the end and likely to do the same thing.

Have we talked before?
What about you, Zatu? I see Japanese runners training in my area rather often during the nice-weather months.
I know I used to read your threads before I got KeyHoleTV. I posted for Fukuoka and Osaka, too.
last k 3:07. It is getting windy.
I am about an hour from Osaka and Kyoto. I remember talking to you.
Oh, and the last marathon as well. I am blanking on its name. Moroccan won.
I was thinking that these threads are getting obsolete because of keyhole TV. Is anybody besides us reading?
i think if tergat is still there after 25K he will do well
At least a couple of people were reading for the last one, the one I just referenced. It was along the coast.
Tergat's hanging in there.
I am online watching this anyway, so I may as well be posting.
I'm reading. thanks for the updates.
I knew about Osaka, the two Tokyos, and of course Fukuoka, but I never knew how full the Japanese marathon calendar was with rather quality marathons until I started reading Larner's blog. And then the fact that they are all broadcast like this is just a treat. I am really looking forward to Tokyo, the fields there are on a par with Boston's, if not slightly better.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
