I wish him well, but d@mn I wish he weren't allowed to compete against ablebodied runners. Now his recovery from his facial/head injuries will just add another "heartwarming" aspect to the stories about his struggle against adversity and his winning a WC/OG race against ablebodies, and make people (like me) who criticize that kind of travesty just look mean-spirited. (Which, okay, maybe I am, but still...)
I'm sorry for his afflictions, but also sorry for the people he'll keep off a national team (or medal stand) because of his mechanical advantage.
hahaha this is the funniest aspect in this story oscar will be back on the track sooner rather than later as he did not sustain a leg, rib or arm injury. How could somebody without legs injure his legs?
Is he going to have even more artificial parts? Is he going to start looking like a cyborg out there? Will he have a glowing red eye?
We can only hope.
If he doesn't recover by summer can his leg compete unattached?
