when i said hes the most explosing athletes in sports today, i wasnt referring to his physical appearance of looking like he's "exploding" off the starting line. i was referring to his overall finish time which, in itself, is obviously more explosing than the other runners because he finished the race faster.
lets all remember, he has a longer body and stride; so its not going to seem like hes more as fast as the smaller runners such as maurice greene. there is a huge difference between being "quick" and being "fast". take 2 balls for example. both are equally sphericall. they both are rolling down a slope, and both reach the bottom at the same time. the larger ball made less rotations because its circumferance is larger. the smaller ball made alot more rotations and looked as if it were moving alot "quicker" (which it was). they both reached the finish line at the same time, but the smaller ball always looked as though it had more turnover. it did.
this is the difference between being physiologically "quick" and being physiologically "fast".
usain bolt is physiologically "fast". so, in essence and retrospective, he will never get the visual "explosing" recognition that you are inquiring to.
quick or fat, i dont care what the media says. the only thing that matters is what the clock says. he is getting from point a to point b at a faster arimatical time increment. dont let your eyes fool you. dont judge a book by its cover. once he imagines himself as a young gun with quick turnover, combines with the long fast stunning gazzelle that he is, all of the universe will be weeping at his physiological feet when he combines being "quick" with being "fast".
nonetheless, these 400s will only be not only beneficial, but essential to his perfomance in the shorter distances. i would focus on running the turn between 200-300meters. if he can perfect that, i predict a 9.2 100, 18.6 200, and 42.1 for 400 before he reaches a precision peaking cycle before the next olympics.
times dont lie. the explosion is there. hes just keeping it bottled up. imagine beijeng as just sample of him taking a salt/pepper shaker and moving it to the "sifting" position instead of the really small hole shaking position. each time he mildly explodes, he is "sifting" his luxourious legs. one day, when he (not the world) is ready, he will revolve the salt canister nozzle into the "pour" position. when that happens, be prepared for a lightning bolt of speed, and his own world records, to come crashing down upon our slow souls.
