I really wish they could clear up this live results thing? i mean they have had plenty of time to do so.

how did the VU runners finish in the women's 1000 and mile?
How did the Syracuse guys do?
i think all of the top 4 ran 2:22 in the 1000m. novak and mclaren were out hard and then tully and choplin bridged the gap the last 200m.

Danette Doetzel wins the 3k in 9:13, Koons second in 9:21, WV 3rd, Krystal Douglas 4th
Dave McCarthy wins the 3k in 8:07 or so.
4x8
Nova, ND, Gtown, Providence
It was won in 8:07? That's ridiculously slow. Tactical? Where were Bumbi and Smyth?

Times? Pitt?
bumbi 3rd, smyth 6th ish. race went out in 4:31
damn that sucks. so bumbi doesnt have a qualifier for nat's as far as i know. i thought he was coming in to bang out a qualifier. i wonder why he let it go out so slow. seems like he would have won if hed taken it out hard
looks like uconn won both team titles
I don't think bumbi had a shot against mcarthy. That kid is in the zone right now and bumbi prolly is a little rusty since he hasn't ran a track race in a while. He probably lacked the confidence to take it out hard.
I was told McCarthy took off with about 100 to go and wasn't challenged. Ran the last mile in 4:08 or so.
Man, how the mighty have fallen at Rutgers. In the last four years they've gone from dominating the outdoor championships on their home track to one of the lowest spots they've ever attained. There were a lot of grim looks on many of the athletes faces as they left on both days. The bus ride back from the Armory to Piscataway and New Brunswick won't be a pleasant one for sure. They'll be back though, they have the most talented team they've ever had on the banks and it seemed like they had some really bad luck during the weekend.
I remember the first time I ran in an invitational with Rutgers. They got the first 6 or 7 places in the 800 at a relatively stacked invitational. They had some fast fast guys.
I don't think Rutgers was ever considered mighty, I would say more one-hit wonder. They had a good team in a weaker big east and did well on their home track. While they may have a more talented team than they had in the past, the big east has gotten better. If you looked at the performance lists you would have noticed that Rutgers was not exactly lighting things up this year and for them to score in the 40s wasn't unexpected. I think they scored about what they should have, maybe more.
They just need to find a way to keep the talent in state, kind of like the football team.

I couldn't figure out why he ran. Maybe he will run in one of the last chance races and he wanted to get his racing legs. You could tell he is not racing sharp. The IC4As is coming up, so maybe Georgetown will set up something there for him.
