Wow - I certainly get why Lance is so pissed all the time - 1st calling Lance "a cancer that has come out of remission" then asking him to throw Landis and Basso under the bus. As a journalist, you shouldn't through softballs, but enough with the personal attacks. What is he trying to accomplish with those kinds of statements/questions? Just piss off Lance? Rattle his cage bit? Why?
A PISSED OFF Lance is a FAST Lance. Just what he needs to fuel another victory!
dances around the question like a little fairy.. I agree a cancer to the sport.
everyone is innocent and those who were caught were just a bit unlucky.. with their hands in the cookie jar
Armstrong is so incredibly full of shit, he admires cheaters as people? No wonder that guy called him a cancer.

just like Bernard? How about I tell you about some stuff I mailed back to Alberto this summer? just ask or put your mouth back on the zipper
Lance has more man in his one ball then you have in your whole package. Lance is the greatest athlete since ..........well period.
Yeah, yeah, I've seen all the mythology and hype before. He has to do better than pedal a bike to prove it. Ooh, a 2:45 marathoner, there are little girls who can do better than that.
What I want to know is--If Lance and Chuck Norris went head to head on the bike, who would win?
professional sports, from the bottom up or the bottom down and everywhere in between, is polluted with PED's.
the only athletes that don't dope are the ones that nobody gives a damn about. either you suck it up and join ranks with the evil empire, or you will be a forgotten memory. i am not trying to be an apologist, i am just giving you a realist interpretation. this is just the world we live in. eventually, i think that yes, ped use in sports will be a thing of the past. you cant stop science. future athletics will be dominated by genetically engineered super freaks like what we saw in BladeRunner.
THERE IS NO GOOD OR EVIL IN THIS WORLD ONLY POWER AND THOSE TOO WEAK TO SEEK IT.

o you are comparing lance to trash like marion jones now?
innocent until proven guilty is a thing of the past i guess. it sad that a man cant accomplish great things in endurance sports nowadays without people criticizing him and assuming he is a cheat. lay off the guy...

No, it's a thing for a court of law. The court of public opinion has no such standard. And Jones was even more of a media darling than Armstrong is, she didn't become "trash" until she finally found an honest bone in her body. Unlike Armstrong. I am always amazed that people can be simpleminded enough to be taken in by people like Armstrong, Jones, Hellebuyck, Jacobs, A-Rod, Bonds, and so many others. You have to be cripplingly naive to not see them for what they are in the context of their times.
Whether he juiced or not, calling a cancer survivor "a cancer that has come out of remission" is tasteless, uncalled for, and unprofessional from a "journalist." If you or a loved one have had to deal with cancer, you would understand. I guarantee that not many days go by that Lance, or any other survivor, doesn't think "is it back?"
I prefer columnists to tell it like it is from their vantage point to inform their readers. Unprofessional is what the journalists who suck-up to Armstrong are, in actuality. In a sport as drug scandal-plagued as pro cycling, good taste left the room long ago, even before Armstrong's first win at the TdF. Anyway, it is a fair and clever analogy.
It would have been more tasteful and played less into Armstrong's hand to call him a lying a-hole. It was a bad analogy and there was nothing "clever" about it. Is Lance supplying the whole TdF? Is Lance single-handedly wiping out cycling? Why exactly is Lance "a cancer"? Because he wins? I think the actual question asked at the press conference (which Lance answered) was legit, but simply name-calling doesn't make you a "hard hitting" journalist.
The fact that you continually refer to him as "Lance" implies that either you're close friends with him or you're a fanboy. As such, your views on the topic are neither credible nor original.
