Kyle O'Brien or Alan Horton
I will go with Horton by 10 seconds!

I don't think so buddy...Kyle went 29:40 last spring if that is an indication oh what he can do!
Not sure who those guys are, but 29:40 is pretty fast. Not as fast as the REAL showdown guys though. What about Torres/Boaz? I say Boaz gets him here but not at nationals. Torres needs a wake up call much like Goucher got his senior year when he won. Boaz or Kip will win with Torres close behind, but just like Mwangi ate Goucher's dust, They will eat Torres' dust come nationals!
I will go with horton...he has been winning almost every meet this year. I think his only loss is to his teammate in a 5k! O'Brien hasn't even won a meet this year.
im sure Kyle and Adam have bigger plans then racing each other this weekend
Jorge Torres and the two Kips are in different races.
Amen to that Hall, I hadn't even thought about an "OVC Showdown"...Best of luck to everyone, including Horton and the guys from EKU...looking real tough, the championship series races should be a blast this year. Peace out...KO
You should be because he is!
Not sure who will win maybe Torres but I understand that EMU are not running at Pre Nats so no Boaz. They were due to but they are now focusing on the MAC and Districts.
Correct, word on the street is EMU will not be running.
I wasn't trying to get anything started, just trying to see how many runners from the OVC actually frequent this board. I guess there are a few. We need a board for the OVC page...anyone agree?
The WKU man is coming back in to form, so watch him at Districts and Nationals when he is running well.
Anyone have predictions for OVC's? I'll say:
1. Kyle O'Brien
2. Alan Horton
3. Phil Scott
4. Dan Mackey
5. Eric Van Ostrand
6. Jeff Jonaitis
7. Brent Reiter
8. Larry Atkins
9. Jake Stout
10.Ryan Davis
11.Jesse Landre
12.Jeremy Burkeen
13.Chad Sierman
14.Brandon Lancaster
Hey factman, nice predictions! Since the OVC doesn't have a message board, we could just use a thread like this one to discuss things such as predictions, etc.
I wouldn't be surprised if there were one or two more Morehead runners in the top 14.
I would go with Horton after this past weekend...he ran sub 26 ankle-high water on a VERY hilly course!
I think Horton will take the early match-up but when it comes down to the OVC championships..... better bet on O'Brian. Which eastern team will take the ovc title this year? I hear that not only is morehead hosting the meet but an ovc party sometime that night. any truth to this and if so can us runners from the other teams partake?
Ohhh, there'll be a party all right. I would count on a night of good, clean, carbohydrate-rich, fun. Actually we are hosting not only an OVC party but a Halloween party in the same night. If any schools can talk their coaches in to hanging around for the night, I strongly encourage it. Good Luck to all at OVC's and get ready for a tough, hilly course! See ya at the finish line.
I'll be there for sure!
EKU will make some waves at the Pre-nationals this weekend. They are probally the most under rated team in the southeast. Go kick some butt boys.
P.S. EKU runners, ask Coach Erdmann about getting a hair cut before conference. You may run like a animal.
