Flashing light is for quarters.
The reason it looks like they run in lane two on the homestretch is because there's an extra lane on the inside for the sprints that isn't part of any race longer than 60m.

The oval measures (I AM NOT KIDDING) 307 meters. It is a nightmare. No one can figure out their laps - forget the guy running around the track with a red flashing light to signal a 400 meter mark or a baton exchange zone. The medley relays were basically a free-for-all. There are no bleachers or spectator seating in the facility; spectators must watch from the INFIELD and are encouraged to BRING THEIR OWN FOLDING CHAIRS.
Oh you poor poor thing. I can't believe you had to run/spectate at such a nasty facility. Would you like someone to come wipe your tears away?
Mop up your vag and grow a set you effing pussy.

Imagine that, they decided to use the space to provide a 'gentle' indoors track rather than transform it into seating.

I don't doubt they can, my question is how will Oregon race it at NCAA's? I have no idea how the schedule goes, but if Rupp is doubling 3K-5K I doubt they would use him. Perhaps put Wheating on the 1600? Not sure who would replace him on the 800, but it looked like wheating just waited and then kicked so maybe oregon has someone just as fast as the Arkansas guy on the 800 to stay within distance.
And if Wheating gets the baton anywhere near Ulrey, especially if he gets to sit behind him it could be over.
I would bet the reason the track is 307 m is that is the size that fits around the football field. At least that is why Notre Dame had an awesome 5 lap to the mile track.

Wheating against anyone and its over. If Wheating was running a marathon against Haile all he has to do is sit behind and kick past him in the end.

Bingo. Not every school gets a world class 200m track facility donated to them. Some schools have to get by with putting a (very fast) track around their football team's practice field. This whining turd sounds like a spoiled Arkansas guy. Oddly enough, west coast schools have been coming here for close to a decade and come away with very positive reviews.
But maybe I'm reading too much into it.
