I think according to the Wada any kind of putting blood out and later back into the body is blood doping, doesn't matter how effective it is.

Is it blood doping if I'm in an accident and receive a blood transfusion? Technically I'll be able to train more than I would have otherwise and it involves blood.... hmm someone call Wahhhhhhh-ADA.

False
Clearly, Teg is doing something that is very near the edge of legality.
Hypothetical:
What if Teg had a way of transferring your car's ownership from you to him? This method of transferring ownership isn't "stealing" and there is no law on the book which EXPLICITLY states the exact method of transferal is illegal. The D.A. and legal folks are currently investigating the method of transferal, but Teg still has your car.
I think you are very wrong.
"What is blood doping?
* Blood doping is the misuse of certain techniques and/or substances to increase one’s red blood cell mass, which allows the body to transport more oxygen to muscles and therefore increase stamina and performance."
Source: World Anti-Doping Agency
Secondly, platelets, which Teg is using are not erythrocytes, or what you call red blood cells. Platelets do not transport oxygen, they help in blood coagulation. Has no one seriously studied middle school biology? It's redddddicullllousssss how uninformed and helpless Letsrun posters can be.
second source via wikipedia:

Also there is no need for silly metaphors, just look at the facts.

This will be illegal soon. But it isn't now, so what's the problem? Heh heh...
I remember a certain coaches' manifesto on here a long time ago about "using what is available to improve my athlete's performance." Problem is that it is suspect practice! quote]
hey isnth this what Team postal said about Actovegin before it was banned?

Did you not get past the middle school "platelet" definition?
Try some of these bigger words
• CTGF (Connective Tissue Growth Factor)
• PGDF (Platelet Derived Growth Factor)
• TGF-â (Transforming Growth Factor-beta)
• EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor)
• GF (Insulin Growth Factor)
• BFGF (Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor)
• VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor
IDIOTS!
Read the thread first then add your 3 cents
He is injecting into the injured area not into a vein.
It's only helping with the healing of the injury not making him RUN FASTER. He is also using a medicated pad placed on the injured area to help with the healing not help him RUN FASTER. And the best part is reading the words EPO in this thread. Where the hell did he mention he was using EPO. It's like telling one jackass a story about maybe a fish who can fly and he tells another and another. By the time it gets to window licker #12 the story is that godzilla has herpes. WTF! Read and do the research on the entire subject. Don't take bits and pieces and turn it into something else.
Matt still has to run all those damn miles, do all that damn speed work, do all that damn core and drills to RUN FASTER.

You win the award for the most unrelated hypothetical of the day. Product of a terrible education.

you were on to something.. but lost me at the end. What does his unrelated hypothetical have to do with his education? maybe he wasnt educated at all
Seems shady to me. He is increasing the amount of growth factor in his body. HGH is a banned substance because it does exactly the same thing.
Growth factor in his body?
It's going directly to the source of the injury not completely into his body.
Please Read the thread.
And where did it mention the words HGH!
Here we go again.

Is localized drugging okay but only systematic drugging banned? Because that's what your logic leads you to.
Wow you posted a table of growth factors. Out of those, only the IGF's are banned by WADA and none of them have anything to do with Blood Doping as they play no role in transporting oxygen.
Drugging?
It's blood platelets. How did that become a drug.
The only other thing used is the medicated pad. Almost like spreading icy hot but it goes into the skin to reach the injury itself.
A cheater is a cheat is a cheater is a cheat NIKE is a cheater is a cheat is a cheater is a cheat NIKE is a cheater is a cheat is a cheater NIKE.
as far as cheats and people who have been caught cheating taking PED's does NIKE hold the all time record, what do you think the % is compared to the other shoe companies, I would think it would be up around 70% at least?
He's a cheater cause you are know where close to his level and will never be?
