is there a free internet link to see the race in progress?
Wasn't Geb wanting to hit half (21.1K) somewhere between 61:40 and 62:00?

2:03:54 would be ideal - then he could come back next year for another $1 million.

Unless Wanjiru lowers it further between now and then.
half in 61.45
Oh no!, a pacer (Kip Limo) stopped to lace his shoe... He looked stronger to help Geb a little bit longer...
how many beers do you think that geb will drink after his race?
rumor has it that this is gebs last serious attempt. he's been training like the devil. this is the big one.
from now on he will take a longer break and build for london 2012 where he will have to beat wanjiru!
just think .. his first wr was almost 15 years ago! without a doubt haile gebreseassie is one of the greatest athletes of all time period...
dig geb dig

Unless geb puts it out of his reach.
What was up with 1450-1422? the whole course is flat no? That could have cost him 20 seconds over the entire race give or take.

I'm waiting.
Bekele and Adere leading the womens.... they passed 19K... they are showing an elevation map of the course...man! flat as a pancake!!!
he stated he wanted 61:40-61:45...right on target! impressive considering the pace was so jumpy the first 10k. Now hammer time!

Huh? If Geb did that, then he probably wouldn't be able to come back the next year and get another million $$ which was the point of my comment.
23k in 67.24

I think they were too cautious because of last year's craziness. And I'm worried that they've made it up too quickly to 15k.
God this is killing me. More suspenseful than any Hitchcock film.
