Kosgei has run 8:19 already this year, so he's fit. His mile yesterday makes ECACs--he'll probably throw something down pretty fast there.

exactly what I was about to say...he has 2 more weeks of last chance weekends to get some big times and he's obviously not lacking in fitness with his 8:19 at Syracuse or wherever that was. He can/will turn it on whenever he wants to.
I bet Kosgei is a fan of boobs...BIG BOOBS!
wow...do any of you guys even look at the performance lists? that's all I have to say.

Kosgei runs a 4:14 mile yesterday. He won the race by 10 seconds, but that's not a particularly impressive performance considering what he's done in the past. That times could easily not make nationals, and he hasn't run a qualifier in anything else. Kind of strange, anyone know what is up? Has he been injured? He better start throwing down soon if he wants to get some more national titles, let alone qualify for nationals.
I'm pretty sure his 8:19 3k will get him to nat's
I bet it won't...
Last years Kosgei would have run faster than 4:14 no matter how slow the rest of the field was. I'm wondering if, as someone else said, he's just waiting to qualify later in the season. He ran a lot of hard races last year and had tight races at nationals. Maybe a well rested Kosgei can run clear of the field at nationals?
It all depends on who runs what. I don't think Kosgei could beat O'Brien in an 800 right now even though he did so last year. Kaul could give him a pretty damn good run for his money in the 5k. Regarding the mile, there is a lot of depth right around 4:10/4:11, somebody will shake out from that group and run around 4:06 or so at Nationals. I think Dipre could definitely make some noise. To piggyback off that notion, Allegheny and St. Thomas are the favorites for the DMR. It will be interesting to see if Amherst or Williams pops a really fast one at their conference meet.
To summarize, Kosgei's best shot is in the mile.
800: O'Brien
Mile: Kosgei
5k: Kaul
DMR: Allegheny
Anyone notice that the Wartburg women have 6 different girls qualified in the 400, and only one of them is a senior. Looks like they will be making some noise at nationals.
And six 4x4 teams listed as well. The good thing for everyone else is they can only run 1 team.
Ya, they have the top 4 4x400 teams and there are 9 different women among those 4 teams.
make that the top 5 4x400 teams.
Oshkosh will not be touched in the DMR. Three guys Sub 4:14 with Kaul anchoring. They win in national record.
MacPherson can run faster than his Seed Time...
He's a friend of mine and ran that 4:09.7 while having bronchitis... His doctor told him he was only capable of using 75-80% of his normal lung capacity when he ran that time... His workouts have also been putting him in the 4:03-4:05 range... I understand Kosgei is the big dog but I'll be the one to say it...
Craigy Mac for the upset in the Mile - 4:03.hi
Wager will fall on his face and get spiked... F*** Cortland!
Speaking of MacPherson, what's up with him? Did he skip the individual events at DIII NE's because he's saving up for a faster race? I saw him jogging around the track a little at MIT but he only shows up in the 4x8 results and I didn't see that event so I can't confirm that he even ran that.
I'm not sure why he wasn't running individual... Maybe saving for nationals since he is already in... I know when I saw him at Tufts he did an 800 and a 200 just for speed work on that day... pretty funny to watch the 200...
Kosgei's 4:14 although not fully what he can do... He was all alone, because he slaughtered one of our best distance guys (more 3k,5k guy who took second)... Kosgei ran a pretty ballsy race...
Oh along with my F*** Cortland... I would also enjoy saying that Mike Hardbarger will also be caught in the traffic jam caused by Wagers Fall... Because karma is a bitch and RIT is due to get screwed for creating a Hate Wall against teams that are simply better than them...

Saint Thomas has Brian Sames (1:52/2:27/4:13), Mike Hutton (1:53), Matt Boumeester (4:14), and Kyle Brandon (2:29) to choose from, and they won't give anything away on the 400 leg either. Not saying they will win, but nobody will blow them away.
Is Kaul going to run on Oshkosh's DMR? Last year he didn't and saved it for the 5K. Maybe he'll do the same this year, especially since they have Stymeist and McGuire for the 12 and 16 legs.
Given that he has an approximately 20 second advantage over the next 5k guy, and the DMR and 5k are on different days, I think he'll end up anchoring the DMR again. He has anchored them to a win before, also at Rose Hulman in fact. They have to qualify either this weekend or next, which shouldn't be much of a problem with three guys on the list in the mile. There are several very strong teams, so I definitely wouldn't concede the win to Oshkosh at this point.

I think you need to chill out
