Open or DMR anchor?
pretty much both. 4:09 open, 4:08 in the DMR.
Chicagoland Champs... DMR, Brian McConnell split out 410 in the mile for ElMhurst. He can run much faster.
How many are they going to take per event?
Willy Kaul
RICKY FLYNN IS A GOD AMONG MEN. LOOK OUT WORLD. but really 14:28 at Valentine. 428 closing mile? big 14th at nattys in cross. no one is running better than him this year proportionally. he will roll at nationals.
do you have any proof to back up that NO ONE is running better than him proportionally?
...yea thought not
and what does that even mean? No one is running better than him proportionally? That doesn't make any sense.

It's a function of penis size. No one running that fast has such a small penis. Just think what he would do with a huge dick. Kosgei would be his bitch.
Willy Kaul...
Strong!
Anyone know best women's best indoor mile time?
She made the auto look like a joke.

Damn...
I do agree, where are all the women at? This year is slacking compared to previous years. Alya did good yeah sure, so what about everyone else?

As far as I can tell looking at performance lists, this might be the fastest women's diii indoor mile ever. Missy Buttry ran a 4:46 once but that's the closest I can find.
Not quite, Buttry ran 4:43 here.
there's no good online records for the indoor mile, especially since the 1500 was much more frequently run until recently. but her 4:44 converts to a 4:23.7, which we would be #4 on the all-time outdoor 1500 list, behind marcia taddy (4:22), buttry (4:20), and liz woodworth (4:15).
by the way, willy kaul's 5k would rank #8 all-time if it had been run outdoors. awesome performance.

There are already 5 women autoed in the 800, which is the same amount that autoed in all of last year. There are 2 women who have autoed in the mile, and both the 800 and mile fastest times this year so far are faster than the fastest times from the whole season last year. I wouldn't say this year is slacking.
Exactly. My comments were meant to draw attention to the women's races which are commonly overlooked on this thread. "Where all the women at?" doesn't mean D3 women racers are lacking but rather the appropriate coverage of them is.
Just because there isn't a Missy Buttry around to focus attention to the women's races doesn't mean the women have curled up and died. It just means we aren't looking hard enough.
Marie Borner ran a 4:52 mile today at the University of Minnesota.
Kosgei runs a 4:14 mile yesterday. He won the race by 10 seconds, but that's not a particularly impressive performance considering what he's done in the past. That times could easily not make nationals, and he hasn't run a qualifier in anything else. Kind of strange, anyone know what is up? Has he been injured? He better start throwing down soon if he wants to get some more national titles, let alone qualify for nationals.
