8:19 3k winning against syracuse's top runners
can anyone provide me with a link to the list of athletes who are qualified for nats so far? thanks
Go to indoor track and then scroll down a bit. You will see a NCAA Division III section and they have links to the 2008-2009 ranked performance list.

Ok, 8:19 is impressive enough without trying to make bogus qualifiers. He did not beat sycaruse's "top runners." Kyle Heath and Brad Miller would be their "top runners." Kyle ran at the Olympic Trials last summer in the steeplechase and Brad recently ran 4:00.xx for the mile. Also, a fair bunch of Syracuse's young guys were at the USA JR XC championships, where they went 5, 6, 10, and 14.
I'm going to hazard a guess that two guys who run 3k in the 8:40s aren't Syracuse's "top guys."
Seriously, Kosgei is a good enough athlete without trying to make his accomplishments sound more impressive.

Not most of their top runners for sure, but wasn't Busby the only SU guy to make nationals in XC this year?
Brad Miller also got an individual at-large bid to NCAA XC in the fall.
Back to d3 talk...
Macpherson continues to be just as solid as he has been all season, ran the 1:54.12 provisional mark in the 800m at tufts saturday
800m Indoor MacPherson, Craig SO 1:54.12
1,000m Indoor MacPherson, Craig SO 2:28.75
1 Mile Indoor MacPherson, Craig SO 4:09.70
3,000m Indoor MacPherson, Craig SO 8:24.94
5,000m Indoor MacPherson, Craig SO 14:49.65
Any predictions for the sprints?
this is letsrun, we don't care about sprints.
Good call..let's get back to the topic on hand
Busby was the 2nd runner for Syracuse at the 2008 NCAA Div 1 North East Region Cross Country Qualifier where he placed 10th. He did qualify for the NCAA and I do believe he was Syracuse's top finisher at the NCAA XC Championship. Nevertheless, his xc success does qualify him as one of Syracuse's best distance runners.

Impressive, but its only february 8. Seems like a lot of racing to be doing so early.
Cortland is looking pretty solid so far, 3 Pole Vaulters that have qualified so far, 2 guys in the 3k, a hurdler, and 5 or 6 guys that are really close in other events
Dude, you're making us look bad. NOT ONLY IS THERE NO 3k at Nationals, but we only have 2 vaulters qualified. We're hoping to get those that are close to provo into the meet. I don't know you, but congrats on being on a tool!

whatever happened to racing yourself into shape? I'm sure the kid isn't going to break if he runs a race once a week. Christ, is he a long distance runner or a glass figurine?
video of peters race.
Will Jimmy O'brien try to make it in the mile too?
Last year in outdoors the double didn't go as well as he hoped. Obviously 2xAll American is solid, but I am sure he wants the title.
The lists are starting to fill out a little more, especially in the 5k and mile.
