Kosgei will not simply win, he will dominate. Kaul will own the 5k. Bofa will upset Jimmy O' in the 800.

Not to mention they spent the last 3 laps passing each other back and forth. It was essentially an indian run. Another 10m though and Hardbarger would have had him.
I heard Craig MacPotter has also run a 2:10 then a 2:00 flat split in a DMR Mile. Don't let those litte legs fool ya he's like Seb Coe I tell ya!!!
No offense to any of the people in the mile, but any one of those guys can negative split their first 800 to their second. Most of the 410 dudes have to race that way as a probably most of their races don't go out in 205 since there are only 12 guys that can run 410.
Now I'm not taking anything away from what has been done already, but prelims is going to be sit and kick and then finals will probably just be hanging on for dear life.
Experience plays a lot thats why I'm still sticking with my ealier prediction that the mile will be fun to watch.
Koegei - DIII Stud, nothing more needed
MCConnell - 3x All American, 3:48 (4:06) outdoors last year
MacPherson - 3rd last year at NCAA Indoors as FR (4:12)
Why is nobody talking about the Williams kids. 347 for second outdoors has to be worth something. On the topic how the hell does Williams not q a DMR?
that is a good question. chaffee has been running very well, leading most of his 2:26. he'd be my pick for an upset if kosgei doesn't win as expected and I'd be really surprised if he wasn't top 3. as for their dmr, who knows, they'd have a great 1200 leg in kosgey, brian cole was a 4:11 miler in HS so he could probably run the 800 if they didn't have anyone else, they have 400 guys, and chaffee is one of the best at the mile. doesn't make sense, but there could've been some factors working against them when they wanted to run.
Andrew Wells-Qu top 3 in the 800, hasn't been challenged when fresh this season and has a phenomenal body.
Did you not see last week? The kid is talented do not get me wrong, but he is not the smartest runner, that will come with time. He won his heat sure, if thats what you consider fresh, but then again so did the gentleman who beat him in the final. Give him another year or two, but for now he is lucky to have gotten in, and he ca thank the aforementioned gentleman who beat him's coach for not entering him.
800:
1.Bofa
2.O'Brien
3.Could be anyone
1500
1.Kosgei
2.McConnell
3.Chaffee
5k
1.Kaul
2.Chenoweth
3.Spain
when you really think about it, it is confusing that Williams never even tried to run a fast DMR. They clearly have the tools to run a great time. I wouldn't be surprised if they ran could have had the fastest time going into nationals. I figured Kosgey would have put down some flying times after his 10th place finish at cross nationals. of course, maybe they're really focusing on a major outdoor peak.
Here's the live feed:
No way will O'Brien lose the 800. This is where he won his first national championship and on Saturday he will win his third. No one finishes stronger. Probably the biggest guarantee for victory in the whole distance field.

except for Kosgei last year who finished much stronger---running past o'brien like they were in different races. Kosgei is the biggest guarantee for victory.
Willy Kaul all the way in the 5K at Nationals. That is my buddy
The bigger question is who will win the battle for sophomore supremacy? Its 'The Spaniard' vs. 'The Tully Hammer', in an epic duel.

Andrew Wells Qu ftw. Okay maybe not...but he's a lot stronger than his seed makes him seem, he ran his 1:53 all alone on a relatively shitty track. The man is a monster.
Pretty decent preview of the entire meet up on TrackShark, in their forums:
ut oh kosgie qualifies first
Kaul from Oshkosh and Vincent from Lacrosse separated from the field. Kaul waited for 150 to go, then hammered passed Vincent, starting celebrating down the home stretch. Pretty dominant.
Kaul splits 4:06, Oshkosh winning in 9:54
