Meet summary from Cornell website:
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- The Big Red was led by senior Andrew Levy's school record in the 1000, as he came from behind to win the event in 2:24.31. Levy's time was a six second PR (a mark he set last week) and is a remarkable eleven seconds better than his personal best entering the season! The 1000 was one of the best events on the day for the Big Red as all three Cornellians bettered the IC4A standard.
In addition to Levy, senior co-captain Andy Miller was fourth in 2:26.56 and junior Charlie Hatch was 8th in 2:28.54. Another strong IC4A-qualifying performance on the day came from junior Gary Jones, who made his long-awaited debut for Cornell with a second place effort of 49-5 in the triple jump. Senior Aaron Gadson also qualified for the IC4As with seventh place mark of 47-2 1/2.
A freshman broke into the all-time top 10 for Cornell: Kenny McClain was an impressive fourth in the 400, running a PR 48.70 (#9 all-time). Classmate Dan Hagberg was fifth in the 60 hurdles in 8.44, competing well in advancing to a competitive final. Senior Nate Crabtree performed well to qualify for the IC4As in the 200, running 22.19 for 6th. Crabtree later led off the 4X400 (49.6) and teamed up with junior Mike Kippins (50.8), sophomore Cody Boyd (48.8) and McClain (48.3) to run an IC4A-qualifying 3:17.61 in the 4X400, good enough for fifth place.
Cornell's other IC4A qualifiers came in the high jump as senior co-captain Garrett Huyler was fifth in 6-10 1/4 and sophomore Enbani Moore placed sixth in 6-8 1/4.
The Big Red had a number of competitive top-10 performances across the events: Boyd in the 200 (10th, 22.33 - also #8 all-time at Cornell) and 400 (9th, 49.54), Kippins in the 600 (10th, 1:23.05), junior Jason Inzana in the pole vault (3rd, 15-3), junior Damian Silverstrim in the weight throw (5th, 53-7 1/2), freshman Bob Belden in the shot put (8th, 48-8 1/2) and senior Jim Smith in the high jump (7th, 6-6 1/4).
