AP classes are usually taught by High School teachers. Not much of a different except the content. They're more difficult for sure, but not necessarily more so. As far as the SAT score? Eh, I'm an old fart but you get the point. I was speaking about out of 1600.
Just be careful. There's a tendency here to treat grade points like time on a clock. It's not like running. The two aren't quite the same.
